Components: Various copper wire sizes, Ferrofluid, Stainless Steel Barrel, Arduino Uno, Brass Caps, Power Relay, Magnets, Arduino DC Power Supply, Accelerometer , Piston Rod, Delrin Cup, O-ring.

All parts were essentially non-magnetic stainless steel to make the magnetic field of the solenoid as predictable as possible. The delryn cup is a tough plastic and solenoids was made from copper wire. The reason delryn was used is because it is easier to machine and would not disrupt the magnetic field.
